LMER
Long-term preservation Metadata for Electronic Resources

For a workable strategy on long-term preservation of electronic documents, the compilation of suitable technical metadata is essential. Up to now, unfortunately no standard has been established for a corresponding metadata XML Schema especially in terms of long-term preservation. Thus, the German National Library with LMER provides an own Schema that is based upon a model of the National Library of New Zealand.
