Office for Library Standards (AfS)

Introduction

The Arbeitsstelle für Standardisierung (Office for Library Standards, AfS) does most of the technical work in the area of library standardardisation for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It represents the interests in committees on a national and international level collaborating actively in this context. As an organisational unit of the German National Library the Office for Library Standards is masterminding and co-ordinating the work in the different areas of standardisation and is acting as the administrative office of the Committee for Library Standards.
